Chelsea forward, Oliver Giroud had his best performance yesterday after scoring four goals as Chelsea thrashed Sevilla 4-0 on the road to win Group E of the champions league. The Frenchman scored early in each half with two delightful finishes putting in a complete performance. Frank Lampard’s side however, dominated from start to finish creating dangerous chances for both sides.
The 34 year old Giroud becomes the first Chelsea player to score four goals in a single game since current manager Frank Lampard did so against Aston Villa in March 2010. The blues will host Leeds in the Premier League on Saturday before rounding off the Champions League group stage at home to Krasnodar next week on Tuesday.
