‘Maybe that’s a question you should ask China’ – President Trump clashes with reporters

US President Donald Trump abruptly ended his press meeting over coronavirus after he shared heated exchanges with two reporters at a press briefing before storming off stage.

According to reports, Weijia Jiang, CBS News reporter asked Trump why he insists that the US is doing better than other countries when it comes to testing for the virus yet 80,000 Americans have so far died from the deadly virus.

“Maybe that’s a question you should ask China, don’t ask me. Ask China that question, OK?”, Trump responded.

Weijia Jiang who is Chinese-American was forced to interject and asked Trump why he was saying that specifically to her, claims that Trump denied saying he was addressing anyone that asks a nasty question. Trump later interrupted another reporter who approached the microphone to ask questions and instead instructed a different reporter to step forward and proceed with the questions.

This caused the other reporters to have back-and-forth exchange with the president something that made Trump to abruptly end the press conference and walked off stage.
However, President Trump has accused the two reporters of conspiring together to sabotage the briefing but he has also faced criticism for what appears to be a disproportion series of attacks on female reporters.
