Funerals have now become rushed affairs. Whilst before it took weeks or even months to make the burial preparations, now time is of the essence. It does not matter whether the person died from corona virus or other diseases. With the curfew affecting the country and the many other hitches including those ones in the travel sector and social distancing, everybody’s eyes are on the clock.
Families are using less resources to bury their dead. With less people in attendance, less time is used. Regrettably, some people will not be able to bury their relatives. With the cessation of travel from one area to another, it just may not be feasible. But what matters is that those who are near at that moment give a befitting sendoff to the deceased.
