Arsenal are reportedly set to hold formal talks with Chelsea winger Willian, 31, who has turned down a two-year deal with the club over a free transfer next week.
Reports from BBC indicates that Arsenal are willing to offer the Brazilian international the three-year contract he wants. This is after Willian turned down Chelsea’s latest offer of a new contract which only offered terms until 2022 yet he wants a three-year deal which the Gunners are is likely to offer.
The 31 year old is claimed have already rejected a three-year contract with David Beckham’s new MLS franchise because of his desire to stay in Europe.
Willian, joined Chelsea in 2013, he might delay confirming a decision on his future until after the second leg of Chelsea’s Champions League last-16 tie against Bayern Munich on Saturday.
